Overview
What is a diamond? How does it form? Why are diamonds considered so special and precious? How can you know if a ‘diamond’ is natural or lab-grown or an imitation? What are the factors for determining the price of a diamond? What does VVS1, F, or LC mean? Why is there such a price difference between two same sized diamonds?
Confused? You need not worry, as our highly skilled and experienced lecturers will guide you through the fascinating world of diamonds. You will study the 4C’s: Carat, Colour, Clarity and Cut, determining the quality of a stone and as such the price. You will learn how to detect the most common simulants or imitations. At the same time, you will develop impeccable grading skills using the 10x triplet loupe, microscope and real diamonds.
Our courses are a perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, because we understand how the industry works.
